Chief Executive Officer
Barnaby has over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Prior to founding Able Grid, Barnaby held various roles at SunEdison including Director of Global Asset Management and Director of Operations. In this latter role he was responsible for all utility-scale solar construction in the U.S. Barnaby was also VP of Development at Axio Power, a utility-scale solar developer, where he played a lead role in growing the team from 4 to 25 people prior to the sale of the company to SunEdison in 2011. He began his energy career in the Renewable Energy Leadership Program at GE Wind and held project manager roles at both GE Wind and Clipper Windpower. He holds an MBA from Kellogg and an MPA from Harvard.
Chief Commercial Officer
David has been working in the renewable energy industry for over 10 years. Prior to founding Able Grid, he led origination efforts for 8minutenergy in the west and southwest with a focus on solar and storage sales and development. Previously, he spent over 5 years at SunEdison where he held a variety of origination, development, and finance roles, working on hundreds of MWs of utility and DG projects. In 2015 and 2016, he served as DG sales director, leading storage sales efforts. David began his career in renewable energy as a project developer for Axio Power which was acquired by SunEdison in 2011. He holds a MBA and MS from the University of Michigan
Chief Development Officer
Eric has over 8 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. He recently was a Vice President at MAP Energy, managing investment and development activities for wind, solar, and energy storage projects across a nation-wide portfolio of 24 GW of development projects held by MAP’s 18 joint ventures with development partners. He has a PhD in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy
Director of Projects
Sara has held various roles in energy development over the last 7 years. Before joining Able Grid, she was responsible for the design and construction of utility-scale solar projects in North America at SunEdison and consulted to wind and solar developers on development and program management at engineering firm Ulteig. Sara began her career in energy and environmental policy working for U.S. Senator Harry Reid. She holds a MBA and MS from the University of Michigan and a BA from Georgetown University.
Director of Strategy and Analytics
Dan has over 7 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. His roles have focused on market strategy and analytics for storage, utility scale solar, and wind. In these roles, Dan has supported the organizations’ broader origination and development efforts to identify priority markets and customer needs. Dan has worked previously at APL Renewables and SunEdison, where he was part of a nine-person origination team that that executed over one GW of PPA’s for utility scale solar and wind. He holds an MBA, MS, and BS from the University of Michigan.
Market Director - East
Sam has been working for over 7 years in the renewable energy industry, most recently leading utility scale solar strategy and development in North and South Carolina for Cypress Creek Renewables. While at Cypress Creek, he was responsible for the development and construction of several hundred megawatts of solar projects. Prior to Cypress Creek, Sam was the Director of Project Development at Metrus Energy, an energy efficiency project financing company focused on the commercial and industrial building retrofit market. Sam lives in Concord, MA and holds an MBA and MS from the University of Michigan.
