We are Able Grid.
A team of renewable energy veterans changing the way utilities, municipalities, and communities think about electricity. And we’re doing it with batteries. Big, beautiful battery energy storage systems that are as methodically designed as they are environmentally friendly. We have the backing of patient capital, so we can invest in development opportunities that may take years to reach operation. And most importantly, we absolutely love what we do.
What is Energy Storage

Why Battery Energy Storage?
FASTER AND MORE FLEXIBLE
Compared to traditional power generation, batteries can provide faster response at lower cost, making the electric grid more flexible and reliable.
Batteries don’t produce any emissions or waste products, and they don’t require precious water supplies for operation.
GREAT FOR RENEWABLES
Batteries allow for more large, low-cost solar and wind generators to be reliably integrated into the grid.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE INTEGRATION
A grid-connected system can integrate electric vehicles to help utilities and customers effectively manage this new load source.
ALTERNATIVE TO POWER LINES
Batteries relieve local constraints on the power grid, which can help avoid the build-out of long, expensive transmission lines.
Our Landowner Partners
We couldn’t do what we do without our landowner partners. They host many of our battery storage systems after leasing their land to us for a period of 20 to 30 years. At the project’s end of life, most materials are recycled and the land is returned to its original state. No fuel is consumed on site, so every storage system is a zero-emission facility. And because safety is of utmost importance, we ensure they are designed using the most current requirements developed by independent scientists and engineers.
With the benefit of patient capital, we are able to invest in development opportunities that may take several years to reach operation. This allows us to focus on investing in communities and markets where storage will provide long-term value to utilities and their customers.
